Google Takeout
You can export and download your data from the Google products you use, like your email, calendar, and photos. In a few easy steps, create an archive to keep for your records or use the data in another service.
How To ‘Transfer your content’
- Browse to https://myaccount.google.com/
- Sign into your CISD Google account.
- On the MyAccount page, find the section marked "Transfer Your Content" and select ‘Start Transfer’.
- Enter a destination account (must be a Google account) or create a new Google account.
- Select ‘Send Code’.
- Using another device, or a separate Chrome window in Incognito Mode, sign into the destination account containing the emailed code.
- Enter the confirmation code (the code is valid for 24hrs).
- Select ‘Verify’.
- Select the data you wish to include in the archive by selecting the available products.
- Select ‘Start Transfer’.
If you’d like to ‘Download your data’
- Browse to https://takeout.google.com/
- Sign into your CISD Google account.
- Check the box next to each type of data you want to save, especially "Drive"
- At the bottom of the page, click on 'Next step'
- Leave the Delivery method as the default of "Send download link via email" and click on 'Create export'
- Once that Google Takeout process is complete, you will be sent a link to download your information to your CISD Google email address. Be sure to complete this process prior to leaving the district, as you will lose access to your CISD Google account!

Note: Even though Google uses the term ‘transfer’ for this process, please note that there will be NO change to or removal of the content located on the original Google Drive. This includes all ownership settings on owned files. Instead, ‘transfer’ simply copies the original files and places them in a folder on the destination account's Google drive.
